My Portfolio

My name is João Godinho and I've been driven by entertainment ever since I was a child.
Be it games or movies I have always tried to entertain others.
Through my master's degree in computer science I learned the technical skills to be able to bring a project to life,
along with some personal projects along the way.
I have always been creatively inclined, be it from YouTube videos since I was 12, to a short movie when I was 18.
I am doing what I can to bring fun and joy to others by being as much a part of games from their concept, design and development as I can,
learning and feeling fulfilled from the whole process.
I am always looking for new opportunities to learn and grow.
What excites me most is creating intriguing mechanics and interesting level layouts and puzzles with a player-centric design philosophy; however, I am open to any role in game design and programming.
My favorite games tend to be open-world games that allow for exploration and discovery, such as The Witcher 3 and Assassin's Creed, as well as more linear, story-driven action-adventure games with semi-linear worlds, such as The Last of Us Part 2 and God Of War Ragnarök.
